Class 1 Nursery 2019 - 2020

Miss Watterson

A warm welcome to our Nursery class page!

This half term we have lots more busy things planned. Thank you for coming on our trip to Chester Zoo, the children seemed to love it and were very inspired coming back in to school!

This week the children have been finding out about Chinese New Year and tasting lots of delicious Chinese food.

Next week we will be starting our new topic of 'All about me....then and now!' The children will be learning about themselves in all aspects from their physical features, their feelings, their likes and dislikes to what makes them special. OUr historical aspect of this topic will be discussing what they were like as babies and toddlers and how different they are now. We are looking forward to seeing the children's baby photographs and trying to guess who they belong to.

In maths we are developing our understanding of numbers to 5, reading, writing, recognising, ordering and manipulating.

PE will still be on a Friday so please amke sure PE kits are in school. If you could practise dressing and undressing skills with the children, that would be amazing and leave us more time for the PE session.

Keep checking your seesaw app for photographs and video clips as well as reminders.

What's Being Said?

"I never thought that Westwood was so large inside! From the road, it seems so small. What a wonderful use of space. The school has changed so much over the years!" - recent visitor to school
