Class 7 2018 - 2019

Mrs Hatton

11.10.18

We will be starting our Special bag this Friday. The children will take it in turns to take home a bag. They will need to put a maxium of five objects in the bag and return it to school on the following Friday. They will use the objects to talk about themselves in class. You will find an explanation inside the bag to help you support your son/daughter.

Drop In Tuesday will have to be cancelled 16.10.18 due to a course being held after school. I will still be around seeing the children out of school at the end of the day. Drop in Tuesday 23.10.18 is still on if you need anything.

We have started our topics on The Celts and Materials. We are working on individual targets for your son/daughter in Maths and English, which I hope to share with you soon. This week we will be putting their reading and spelling scores into the Reading Logs that they bring home each day with their reading books. In Maths this week we are all working on numbers.

Our P.E lesson will be on a Thursday. We will have Bonus play every Friday, so if your son/ daughter has read three times this week he/she will enjoy an extra play time. Golden Time will be every Friday. Please make sure the item they bring into school can fit in their school bag. If you have any re-cycling boxes, tubs etc please bring them into school for our bank of resources for our Creative Area. If you have any questions I'm always about at the end of the day. Spelling homework will be sent home every Friday. I can't wait to show you what we have done to the classroom area.

Thank you,

Mrs Hatton, Mrs Webster, Mrs Nash and Mrs Wright.

What's Being Said?

"I never thought that Westwood was so large inside! From the road, it seems so small. What a wonderful use of space. The school has changed so much over the years!" - recent visitor to school
