A HUGE welcome back!

I hope you have had a wonderful summer holiday and a ready for an action packed Autumn term. We are really looking forward to this year! There will be lots of new things going on in school this term and it will be a little different, but we are all part of the fantastic Westwood family here to support each other. As always, we will use our school website to share our learning journey with you.


This half term you will be learning...

Maths - Place Value and the four rules of number (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) 

English - Reading, spelling, writing and how to write a set of instructions 

Science - Plants and Materials

Topic – Heroes

Expressive Arts - Dance, media and composing music

RE – Harvest

ICT/DCF - Using Hwb, SeeSaw and creating algorithms

Welsh - Manylion Personal (Personal Information) 


Helpful information for our class:

Homework - Will be given out on a Monday and due in on a Friday (some homework will be done online).

Reading - You will be expected to read at least 3 times a week at home and have your reading diary signed.

Spelling-  A new weekly spelling list will be given out every Friday. A small test will happen each following Friday.

Handwriting- Use the small purple book to practise your handwriting at home to improve your handwriting at home.

PE – Every Tuesday
