Class 8 2017 - 2018

Mrs Williams

Hello All, Blywyddyn Newydd Dda / Happy New Year!

Welcome back all; we hope you've had a great Christmas and are looking forward to more adventures! This term we will be joined by an Associate Teacher from Bangor University, Miss Thompson who will be working alongside Mrs Williams and Class 8. We are sure you will make her feel very welcome.

This term we will be continuing our history topic relating to the Victorians but this time we will look at children in Victorian times and this will also integrate with our PE and Music topics too. Geography this term takes us over the Atlantic ocean to Iceland. Science this term will  be looking at Sound, Electricty and Forces.

Please look at the calendar on the school website to learn about all the forthcoming events e.g. Polar Explorers with STEM & Techniquest, First Aid with St John's Ambulance, Young Voices, Nant B.H., Skiing, Parent's Evening etc.

Do remember to bring in your P.E. kits on a Monday, ready to leave in school for the week's P.E. and wellbeing activities. Homework dates will be set in the first week back so watch this space.  Please do remember to keep up with your reading, at least ten minutes, on at least five occasions at home each week.

We look forward to seeing you bright and early on Tuesday morning, ready for a great day and a positive start to our new year. It will be fantastic to see our Westwood family together again and  we are excited at the prospect of hearing all about your Christmas adventures.

What's Being Said?

"I never thought that Westwood was so large inside! From the road, it seems so small. What a wonderful use of space. The school has changed so much over the years!" - recent visitor to school
