Nursery 2017 - 2018

Miss Watterson

Welcome back to our Summer Term, our final Term of the school year, where we have got lots of fun and exciting things planned ahead!! The children have come back excited to tell us about their adventures over the Easter holidays and are eager to learn!

Our topic this Term is 'Growing' (plants, animals and babies) and we will start our topic by reading 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and taking part in lots of fun activities to support this......we will even be growing our own beanstalks!!!!

We will start our formal PE sessions this week, and they will take place every Friday! We will start by just taking off footwear but eventually this will build up to changing into a PE kit so children will need black shorts, a white top and pumps.

Can I thank you all for your support regarding our plee for outdoor resources! It really is appreciated!! You may have noticed the new play house that has arrived in our play ground...a huge thank you to everyone who donated and a special thank you to those who organised and helped to deliver it to know who you are! We have made a good start on our smaller outside area based in the middle  of Nursery and have developed an action plan but there is still lots of work to be done so if anyone thinks the may be able to help or share their expertise then we would hugely appreciate any help!!!

Thank you once again for all of your continued support!

What's Being Said?

"I never thought that Westwood was so large inside! From the road, it seems so small. What a wonderful use of space. The school has changed so much over the years!" - recent visitor to school
