E-Safety Consortium Event

A big well done to FC (Year 3), MC (Year 4) and ET (Year 5) JM (Year 6) for representing Westwood Primary and the Buckley-Mynydd Isa Consortium event at Southdown Primary. After a warm welcome and introduction from Mrs. Jones (Southdown Teacher), the children were asked to work in small groups to discuss the internet and social media. Following the discussion the children were asked to write down their opinions on post-it notes and then upload them to the app called 'Post-it' using the iPads. 

After a quick break (which included some biscutis, fruit and drinks!) the children completed additional tasks of creating a questionnaire using Microsoft Forms and to create a book/leaflet using the app 'Book Creator' using the iPads. 

A HUGE thank you to Mrs.Jones for organising the event, the children (and staff!) had a fantastic morning and it was great to see the children from partner schools working collaboratively on the topic of E-Safety.
