Different types of environment!

Today Class 6 started their new topic in Geography titled 'Contrasting Localities'. After discussing the first two new geographical vocabulary (Human Geography and Physical Geography), the children were given a set of pictures and were asked to sort them into different categories. The children also discussed the similarities and differences between the pictures.

The 5 different environments we looked at were urban, rural, industrial, mountainous and costal. Finally, the children made notes on the following points-

What is this kind of place like?

What will you see there?

What people will go there and why? (What can you do there?)

What are the human features?

What are the physical features?
