Curriculum For Wales
In September 2022 all schools in Wales began to follow a curriculum designed to prepare pupils for a fast changing world. At Westwood C.P. we want all children to have the knowledge, skills and experiences they will need to do well.
Our children learn not just what, but how to learn and the reasons why we learn. Through teaching and learning we deliver initiatives that reflect what lies at the core of the New Curriculum for Wales.
For children to develop as:
- ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives
- enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work
- ethical, informed citizens, ready to play a part in Wales and the world
- healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society
