Light Investigation

Today Class 6 completed their latest Science investigation. By linking our investigation to the previous Science topic of Materials, the children tested different materials to see if light could pass through them. Using a torch, the children worked in small groups to shine light through each material. The materials the children used were cotton wool, cardboard, tissue paper, plastic, wood, aluminum foil and glass. Next, the children used a results table to sort the materials; materials that light could clearly pass through, materials that some light could pass through and materials that would not allow light to pass through.
