Dosbarth Holly - Mr. Poostchi 2023 - 2024

Helo Pawb,

My name is Mr. Poostchi, I am currently the class teacher in Year 5.

It is hard to believe we are now in the final term - the summer term. Thank you to all parents and guardians who visit their child's Seesaw to be a part of their child's learning journey in Year 5,  it is fantastic to see some parents adding comments for their children to read and to acknowledge the great work children are doing. Diolch yn fawr!

Topic areas

We will be studying topics that reflect the experiences, challenges and opportunities that face humanity and the world we live in.

SeeSaw

All children have a learning journal on SeeSaw. Children have a password and a link is shared with all parents so they can register to access their child's account and travel parts of their learning journey with them.

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor learning will take place to extend learning opportunities, at times children will be required to wear old clothes. Parents and guardians will be notified in advance when children are required to come in clothing other than school uniform.  Children should always bring a warm coat to school and a pair of old trainers so we are able to access the outdoors at any given time. In Year 5, we work as mini police in the local community with the support of the community PCSO, we have strong links with local care homes, Buckley library and also Lane End Nature Reserve. We enjoy continuing to build links aross our local community.

P.E. will be on a Thursday.

Homework will be sent out every Friday to be completed by the following Wednesday.

Reading-please read each day at home (Years 5 and 6 are encouraged to read at least four times a week)
