Our Peace in Ukraine Day on Thursday 7th April 2022

Thank you all for your amazing support on the 'Peace in Ukraine Day'. Everyone looked fantastic in their Blue and Yellow as we raised awareness and money for the Red Cross response in the Ukraine. We sold out of all the bracelets and keyrings in our shop- with lots more of your ordering bracelets to show your support. This is on top of your amazing support of donations at our Westwood drop off point. We cannot thank you enough. We hope you enjoy growing your sunflower for the competition. Did you know that the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine?

As many of you may know,  Ukrainian refugees will be coming to North Wales to seek sanctuary from the horrors happening in their country. Westwood is a place of sanctuary and we hope you will be supportive of our efforts to be a school of sanctuary.

Red Nose Day March 2022

A huge thank you to you all for supporting Red Nose Day. Westwood C.P. raised just under £90!! All the children loved their treat bags prepared and shared by our House Captains to the whole school. All the money raised goes to comic relief and helps UK charities who support children and their families. Llawer o hwyl yn Ysgol Westwood!!

Board Game Club February 2022

Our House Captains have organised lunch time clubs for the juniors to enjoy, based on the pupil voice. The two clubs on offer this term have been Football and Board Game Club. The children are loving the opportunity to play and  interact with their peers inside and outside at lunch time. A big thank you to the House captains and the staff who are giving their time up to help run these opportunities.

The Board Game Club has over 30 different board games in their junior library that can also be loaned out to you to play at home too. Please contact the office for more details, via email for the attention of Mrs Sarah Jones, who will be happy to help!

Christmas Boxes and Teams 4 U December 2021

From our wonderful House Captains packing the Christmas boxes from our school donations to attending the Christmas box Sunday service ...

Our children make us proud every single day. Over 400 boxes from the community donations were loaded onto a truck as they began their Christmas journey, to give a child a present as without these gifts they would have nothing this Christmas! Thank you to you all – no matter what your part in this story – you should be proud! Diolch yn fawr iawn teulu Westwood!
